Adidas debut
The brand name Adidas was created by combining its founder Adolf Dassler's nickname "Adi" and Dassler's initial three words "Das". As you know, the Dassler brothers had established a Shoe Factory together in July 1924. Which he named Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik, whose English translation was Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory. He started this company after returning from World War I. Since there was a lack of space for the factory, he started the work of manufacturing shoes in his mother's Lundry Room. During that time in Herzogenaurach there was a great irregularity of electricity, as a result of which he had to use Pedal Power many times. At that time it was the only factory which manufactured sports shoes.
The Dassler brothers focused on making the best Spiked Running Shoes during that time. He revamped the heavy metal spikes using canvas and rubber. This was followed by the Summer Olympics in 1936, for which both brothers reached Berlin with Spikes in a suitcase. Where he persuaded United States runner Jesse Owens to use those spikes. Owens won 4 Gold Medals wearing those shoes, after which his business picked up speed. The effect of this was that before World War II, his annual selling was 200,000 pairs of shoes.
After this both the brothers joined the National Socialist German Workers' Party. From where the differences between the two started increasing. As a result, both had to split their business in 1947. Rudolf Dassler started his own company named Ruda, which is currently known as Puma. On 18 August 1949, Adolf established his own separate company, which today the world knows as Adidas. Thus came from the same family today, two of the world's best footwear companies.
Adidas Owner :-
